In maritime environments, corrosion is the silent enemy of performance. Saltwater, humidity, and chemical exposure relentlessly degrade traditional metals, increasing maintenance costs and reducing lifespan. Tactical Labs’ NS Fiber, a basalt fiber–reinforced polymer, provides a transformative solution for boats and other maritime systems operating in harsh, corrosive conditions.

For maritime drones, this means less downtime, longer operational life, and greater mission capability in salt-heavy, high-moisture environments.

Derived from volcanic rock, basalt fibers are inherently non-corrosive and chemically stable. When reinforced with advanced resins in the NS Fiber composite platform, they create a structure that is 70–90% lighter than aluminum or steel while remaining exceptionally strong—up to 3000 MPa in tensile strength. Unlike metal hulls or frames that require coatings and constant upkeep, NS Fiber components resist saltwater degradation at the molecular level, ensuring long-term integrity and reliability.

The flexibility of our platform allows us to meet a wide variety of maritime use cases, including armored ships or those with greater corrosion resistance.

The NS Fiber-RX variant enhances chemical and thermal resistance, while NS Fiber-B balances weight and strength for buoyant and durable structures. Our patented material can be adjusted to meet the unique product parameters of any mission at sea.

By integrating NS Fiber into sea vessels, Tactical Labs offers a corrosion-resistant pathway to the next generation of maritime systems—ultra-light, ultra-strong, and built to endure the elements without compromise.
